Asset Disposal - Your Legal Obligations
Under the waste disposal regulations, companies have a legal duty of care to ensure that their waste is disposed of correctly through licensed carriers and waste managers. The penalties for failing to do this are very severe. Kelway are fully licensed by the Environment Agency as waste carriers and brokers. This means we can arrange the collection and disposal of your end-of-life assets whilst ensuring compliance with all current legislation.
Kelway are also registered with the Environment Agency to store waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) at our distribution centre in Rugby before it is transferred to a licensed waste processor.
We will also ensure that all collections from you are covered by Waste Transfer Notes. These are legal records of your asset disposals which you must keep for two years in case the Environment Agency want to inspect them.
